About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to work within our NDIS framework, supporting participants with diverse disability presentations and barriers. This will involve completing occupational therapy assessments and recommendations, as well as ongoing therapeutic interventions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Provide a range of supports and services to enable effective participation of NDIS Participants in occupations of everyday life, including:
  2. Assessment of individuals in shared living and community-based environments.
  3. Promote and enhance individuals' independence and community living skills.
  4. Provide occupational therapy recommendations for individuals with disabilities.
  5. Complete functional capacity reports.
  6. Identify priority occupational therapy goals and create and implement therapeutic interventions in line with goals.
  7. Assess and recommend assistive technology/environmental modifications.
  8. Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams in working with complex presentations in achieving client-centred outcomes.
  9. Provide guidance, direction, and training to junior staff (including support workers) and other allied health professionals.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) or Bachelor/Master of Occupational Therapy.
  • A current 'Working with Children Check' and 'Criminal History Check' prior to a letter of offer being made.
  • NDIS worker screener check.
