About the HospitalNorth Canberra Hospital is a level 4 hospital that provides a range of acute and sub-acute services, including community-based care to the residents of the northside of Canberra and Southern NSW. The hospital operates a 24-hour Emergency Department and offers inpatient services, including general medicine, surgery, maternity, mental health, and critical care.
About the TeamThe General Surgery Unit at North Canberra Hospital provides general surgery services, including all public breast cancer and benign breast disease services to the ACT and surrounding region. As a General Surgeon, you will work together with the other members of the breast care team to provide an efficient and high-level breast care service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality care to patients in the areas of breast surgery, general surgery, and emergency general surgery.
- Work collaboratively with the breast care team to develop and implement an efficient and high-level breast care service.
- Engage in the development of an ACT Breast Unit and plan the service for the new Northside Hospital development.
- Participate in teaching, training, and clinical research opportunities.
