Development Compliance Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the compliance and enforcement of development consent conditions and regulations.

  • Investigate and resolve unauthorized building and development breaches
  • Enforce conditions of development consent and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Undertake regular inspections and issue compliance certificates for swimming pools
  • Issue directions, notices, and orders to regulate activity and maintain environmental standards
  • Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner

About You:

  • Relevant degree or diploma in Building, Engineering, or Construction field
  • Current Class C NSW Drivers Licence
  • WHS White Card certification
  • Experience in building and development compliance and dealing with unauthorized building work
  • High-level judgement and issue management skills
  • Capacity to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Excellent knowledge of Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and Local Government Act 1993 and other related legislation
