The Head of Campus is a key leadership position within Edmund Rice Education Australia Flexible Schools Ltd, responsible for the day-to-day management and leadership of the campus. This role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people who have disengaged from mainstream schooling.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and supervision to staff and young people, working collaboratively with the Area Principal, Regional Support Team members, and other EREA Flexi Schools personnel as required.
- Develop and maintain programs for young people at risk, with a focus on trauma-informed practice and wellbeing support.
- Lead a multi-disciplinary community in reflection around working together under four principles of operation: Respect, Safe and Legal, Honesty, and Participation.
- Develop and implement a range of learning choices and assessments that meet the diverse characteristics, needs, and learning styles of young people at risk.
- Tertiary qualifications in Teaching or Social/Behavioural Sciences, with eligibility for teacher registration with Queensland College of Teachers or a valid Blue Card.
- Demonstrated commitment to the values of Edmund Rice Education Australia, including Gospel Spirituality, Justice and Solidarity, and Liberating Education.
- Substantial knowledge of and experience in one or more aspects of leadership, including Identity, Educational, Relational, Administrative, and Community.
- Ability to provide leadership in trauma-transformative practice and wellbeing support, and to develop and implement programs for young people at risk.
- Commitment to building just communities based on the Touchstones of Inclusive community, Gospel Spirituality, Justice and Solidarity, and Liberating Education.
