DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our Digital Product department at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and automating continuous integration and delivery services for our digital products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement complex delivery systems for our digital services on web, mobile, and streaming media platforms.
• Contribute to the automation of all aspects of our digital platforms, including cloud infrastructure, testing, and code deployment.
• Improve system reliability and quality by integrating monitoring, reporting, and fault handling into application platforms.
• Provide specialist advice and identify opportunities to improve efficiency by automating existing processes.
• Develop and maintain technical standards and support documentation.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to manage projects and ensure project deliverables are completed within agreed timeframes.

About You

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent significant skills, knowledge, and experience.
• Demonstrated extensive experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) products and automated code integration and deployment systems.
• Extensive experience with Linux and open-source web software stacks, and excellent proficiency in at least one scripting language.
• Extensive experience with automated configuration management tools and common third-party DevOps tools.
• Highly advanced problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
