The Role Mechanical Fitters are sought after by major industry players to work on key underground mining equipment in Rutherford NSW In this role you'll be working on overhauls and repairs supporting some of the biggest names in the industry

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble inspect diagnose repair and reassemble mechanical components
  • Follow work instructions specifications and job cards to ensure quality and compliance
  • Conduct functional testing and inspections to verify safe operation post-repair
  • Acknowledge any faults delays or safety concerns with supervisors promptly
  • Maintain workshop housekeeping keeping work areas clean and safe
  • Contribute to a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement

About You:

  • Prior experience with heavy equipment ideally in underground mining is required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills are essential
  • You must be able to work independently as well as contribute to team goals
  • Good communication skills and accuracy in following procedures are vital
  • A commitment to maintaining a clean safe work environment is necessary
