Job Title

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to join Amazon's Direct Imports team as a Global Import Supply Chain Specialist.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end import supply chain process, from manufacturer to fulfillment center availability. This includes developing innovative inventory management strategies to enhance customer experience and maximise sales margins.

This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project delivery, relationship management, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support instock functions with reports and analyses, including forecasting, ordering, capacity management, instock rates, and unhealthy inventory management.
  2. Collaborate with ISMs on import ordering strategies discussions, ensuring Amazon meets optimal domestic and import sourcing mix.
  3. Contribute to buying automation and system auditing activities.
  4. Participate in supply chain optimisation and defects reduction initiatives, working closely with operations teams.
  5. Own key performance indicators such as vendor import share, out-of-stock percentages, vendor lead time, fill rate, unhealthy inventory, and forecast accuracy.
