Job Opportunity: Building Fabric Inspector
Job OverviewWe are seeking a technical professional to join our team as a building fabric inspector.
This is an exciting opportunity to travel throughout Tasmania, inspecting buildings and collecting data on their condition.
- Identify and record data on the type, location and condition of relevant mechanical/electrical building systems, fixtures and building fabrics (cladding, walls, floor coverings, ceilings).
- Provide thorough and accurate data capture, ensuring data is uploaded as directed to minimise risk of data loss.
- Craft highly precise and detailed reports for assessments when required.
- Actively engage with the team to maintain accuracy and verify data capture quality.
- Taking room measurements and sketching basic floorplans.
Ideally you will have:
- Demonstrated experience with inspections/data capture projects across large commercial buildings.
- Access to a reliable vehicle, a valid Australian driver's license, and willingness to travel.
- Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People or the ability to obtain one.
- Exceptional level of attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Proficient with the use and basic troubleshooting of smartphones, laptops, tablets and cameras.
- Professional demeanour and the capability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
