Job Summary

NW Mining & Civil is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join their team at their Mt Isa workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of diesel engine equipment, including forklifts, reach stackers, loaders, cranes, generators, and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and repair of diesel engine equipment
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements
  • Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with safety protocols
Requirements
  • Relevant trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Manual car license, with HR license an advantage
  • High risk EWP and/or Forklift certification highly regarded
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A testing
Work Environment

The successful candidate will be based primarily at the Mt Isa workshop, with some mine site field work as required. Meals and accommodation will be provided while on shift. Local applicants are preferred, but flights are available from Brisbane, Townsville, or Cairns.
