Job Opportunity

A mental health nurse is required to work in regional NSW, providing person-centred care across various settings.

The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with current AHPRA registration and ANMAC skills assessment under ANZSCO 254422. They must also hold a valid NSW driver's licence or be eligible to obtain one.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide trauma-informed care to individuals of all ages.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, medical officers, allied health professionals, peer workers, and carers.
  • Empower consumers to build resilience, independence, and self-management in their recovery journey.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Valid or eligible ANMAC assessment under ANZSCO 254422.
  • NSW Driver's Licence (or ability to obtain).

Location Details

The role is based in two key regional locations within Hunter New England Local Health District: Tamworth Mental Health Services and Manning Hospital.

The new facility at Tamworth includes a 37-bed unit with adult, high-acuity, older persons', adolescent, and child and adolescent community mental health services.
