About the Role
The Melbourne Clinic, a leading private mental health service, is seeking an experienced psychologist to join our team as the coordinator of the eating disorder program. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with allied health and nursing staff to implement a high-quality evidence-based therapy program for clients with a range of eating disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the inpatient therapy program, including organization of group timetables and staff scheduling.
- Conduct evidence-based therapy groups for clients in the program.
- Contribute to the general inpatient program with the TMC inpatient coordinators, Allied Health Manager, and Director of Allied Health.
- Develop, complete, and facilitate quality improvement projects in the eating disorders program.
- Supervise Grade 1 and 2 staff, as required, and supervise students of your discipline.
Requirements
- Qualification in an allied health profession, e.g., Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Psychology (mental health nurses with specialist skills in eating disorders will also be considered).
- Registration with AHPRA for your profession, or eligibility for membership with AASW for Social Workers.
- Specialist training/credentialing in Eating Disorders (preferred).
- Four years + experience as a health professional.
- Experience as a supervisor (preferred).
- Well-developed leadership and communication skills.
- Experience with group therapy (preferred).
- Commitment to upholding high standards of ethical practice.
- Current Working with Children Check.
