Position Overview
The Northern Territory Government is seeking qualified individuals for the role of Emergency Medicine Registrar. This position offers a competitive remuneration package ranging from $138,488 to $173,099, with specific salary ranges from $118,703 to $148,733 for Registrars and $188,118 to $205,492 for Senior Registrars.
About the Role
We have multiple vacancies available for fixed terms of 3, 6, or up to 12 months. The selection process will determine the appropriate level (REG or SREG) based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidates.
Experience in Aboriginal Health
This role provides a unique opportunity to engage in high-acuity medical practice within a diverse population, where a significant portion of patients are Aboriginal. You will encounter a variety of complex health issues, including rheumatic heart disease, chronic liver disease, and trauma cases.
Work Environment
The Emergency Department services a vast area with a high volume of presentations annually. The median age of patients is 34 years, and there is a notable percentage of pediatric cases. Our department is accredited for non-major referral ACEM ED training, ensuring a supportive learning environment.
Training and Development
We prioritize quality education for our registrars, offering dedicated teaching sessions weekly and opportunities for accredited rotations in various specialties, including Paediatrics and Anaesthetics.
