About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Treasury Policy Specialist to join our team at The State of Queensland. As a key member of our Treasury team, you will play a critical role in driving economic growth and fiscal strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert financial analysis and policy development advice to senior executives and stakeholders on complex public policy, financial management, and economic performance issues.
- Exercise judgement and authority to effectively coordinate the management of client requirements and develop strategic policy initiatives.
- Represent Treasury on internal and external committees and working groups, and assist in oral briefings for ministerial offices.
- Prepare and deliver highly complex reports, submissions, briefing notes, commentary, publications, and correspondence.
Requirements
- Leadership experience in supporting the Executive Director to lead the team under pressure to deliver outcomes.
- Expertise in providing strategic, practical, and solutions-oriented advice.
- Influential communication skills, both written and verbal, tailored to the audience.
