Job Title: Painting Trades Person

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced tradesperson to join our team on a full-time and permanent basis.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Outstanding communication skills
  • The ability to work as rostered and be on time is essential
  • The capacity to paint successfully to specification with a spray gun (mainly pump and hand guns)
  • The ability to always produce a quality finish
  • Work in a professional and safe manner
  • Understanding of WHS requirements compliance, and the correct use of PPE
  • Great problem-solving skills
  • The ability to follow instructions and ask questions to clarify
  • A car license
  • A forklift license is preferable

Duties and responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

  • Understanding surface preparation and finishes
  • Being able to understand and complete works to specifications
  • Being able to mix to correct ratio two-part paint coatings etc.
  • Selecting paints, varnishes and stains to various surfaces using brushes, sprays, and rollers
  • Understanding the use of Wet Film Thickness Gauges and being able to achieve specified dry film thickness
  • Being able to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Erecting scaffolding and ladders
  • Cleaning equipment and work areas

We require an individual who is able to work effectively in a team environment and take initiative when required.

This role requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy materials.
