Stud Hands are highly skilled and experienced professionals who work directly with horses in a stud farm environment.

The ideal candidate for this role will have significant experience working with Thoroughbreds, and be able to demonstrate excellent horse handling skills, as well as strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Duties may include:

  • Feeding, checking horses and performing daily stud tasks
  • Administering treatments and bandaging under veterinary supervision
  • Assisting veterinarians, farriers and other equine professionals
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of stables and paddocks

A hardworking and friendly personality is essential for this role. The successful applicant will be required to work 8 hour shifts and relocate or commute to Melbourne. A full driver's license and Australian work authorisation are necessary for this position.
