ADF Injury Management Specialist

As a professional in workplace health, injury management and safety, this role focuses on supporting ADF personnel who have sustained physical and/or psychological injuries. The goal is to help them recover and return to work and life.

This position requires clinical reasoning skills to support the rehabilitation journey of injured personnel. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, taking a holistic care approach to deliver services.

  • You will conduct assessments, including functional capacity evaluations and worksite or activities of daily living assessments.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders, such as employees, medical specialists, treatment providers and allied health professionals, is crucial to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans.

The performance of this role is measured by service delivery outcomes, not billable hours. A genuine focus on client-centered care and goal setting is essential.

A 4-day working week allows for a healthy balance between work and personal life. Enjoy regular working hours at RAAF Base Townsville.

Key Requirements:
  • Registration or membership with relevant industry bodies (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC/RCAA or AASW) is required.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Work are necessary.
  • Australian Citizenship is required.
  • Clinical reasoning skills and ability to engage effectively within multidisciplinary teams are essential.
  • A passion for helping people rehabilitate is vital.
