Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Content Designer to join our team. As a key member of the digital content management group, you will play a critical role in developing high-quality content that meets the needs of our users.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Content Refresh and Migration

You will lead the content refresh of our website, ensuring all content is user-centered, plain language, and aligned with government standards. This includes auditing, reviewing, and rewriting existing content to improve readability, accessibility, and usability, as well as developing new content as required.

Content Strategy and Governance

You will contribute to the development of a multi-channel content strategy that sets the direction for content, technology, and information architecture enhancements for our website based on user journeys, user research, and testing.

Collaboration and Communication

You will work closely with subject matter experts to translate complex information into clear, concise, and accessible content, ensuring all content meets readability standards, WCAG accessibility requirements, and is optimized for digital channels.

Publishing and Reporting

You will publish content to our content management system and manage content migration to the enhanced website, contributing to content governance, style guides, and best practices to maintain content quality.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Proven Experience

You will have proven experience in content design, digital content management, or content strategy in a government or complex organizational setting.

Technical Skills

You will be proficient in digital publishing (GovCMS/Drupal experience preferred but not essential).

Certifications and Clearances

You must be an Australian Citizen and have an Active Baseline or NV1 Security Clearance due to security clearance requirements for this role.
