About the Role:

Catholic Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team in a Residential Aged Care setting. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their dignity, comfort, and well-being are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, hygiene, and mobility.
  • Support residents with their daily routines, ensuring their needs are met and their preferences are respected.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote resident independence and quality of life.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in providing high-quality care.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Personal Care Assistant in a Residential Aged Care setting.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences, and spiritual beliefs of residents.
  • Excellent time-management and prioritization skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change.
  • Must be able to provide evidence of Covid Vaccinations.
  • Willingness to obtain NDIS clearance.
