This exceptional education centre in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney offers a nurturing environment for children aged from 8 weeks to 6 years old.

The centre operates from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and has been in operation for over 23 years.

As the Early Childhood Teacher room leader in the Preschool room 3-5 years, you will work in partnership with colleagues, children, families, and other professionals to share decision-making, engage in conversation, and critical reflection about different theoretical and philosophical approaches to pedagogy.

A strong reliance on constructive communication and collaboration between campus teams and families is a critical component of this role.

Duties include:

  • Ensuring children's wellbeing, learning needs, and interests are addressed through a high-quality education
  • Maintaining ongoing records of children's development, program, and daily information
  • Leading a wonderful team in the Preschool room, planning, and implementing the educational program, which values a holistic view of each child's development
  • Assisting with the Educational program on and off the floor
  • Assuring the high quality of services in consideration of the National Quality Standards
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant Government Regulations
  • Building trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Essential qualifications include:

  • Bachelor in Early Childhood Education
  • Current Child Protection, First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis
  • Assisting the room leader to plan, implement, and evaluate early childhood programs as required by the EYLF
  • Sound understanding of National Education and Care Services Regulation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Working with Children Check number
