About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join AEMO's System Design division as a Senior Project Manager. You will be responsible for providing dedicated project management services to a portfolio of projects across connection and working proactively with Network Service Providers and proponents to resolve critical issues and accelerate the connection process.

The scope of this role includes building strong relationships with external government agencies by providing regular status updates. You will also provide mentoring to other staff, including Project Coordinators, and contribute to improvement initiatives around the connections process and AEMO's internal systems, tools, and data.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop a consistent, structured, and transparent project and portfolio management framework to be used across all projects.
  • Communicate complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Create high-quality reports for external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops and lead project steering committee meetings.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Develop the skills of junior employees.
