Position Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Electrician to become a vital part of the SPC Engineering Team.
The Maintenance Electrician's primary responsibility is to ensure the food processing plant, equipment, and services are maintained in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner, supporting the site in achieving its production goals. This hands-on role requires effective prioritization and task completion across various areas within our facility.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Performing planned preventative and condition-based maintenance on food processing machinery and equipment to a high standard.
- Responding to electrical breakdowns, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment safely and effectively.
- Participating in small-scale automation and electrical upgrade projects.
- Engaging in root cause analysis, asset condition assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and throughput.
- Completing detailed Job Safety Analysis documentation, high-risk work permits, and adhering to intrusive maintenance procedures as necessary.
- Maintaining equipment safety systems and participating in regular safety and quality inspections.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Essential trade qualifications.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with automated production systems.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in assessing equipment condition and determining maintenance needs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of OHSE and Quality systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications, safety reporting systems, contractor management, and CMMS systems.
- Desirable licenses include EWP, Confined Space, and Forklift.
- Flexibility to work across day, afternoon, and night shifts.
