Thinktank, a Residential and Commercial Property Non-bank Lender with a strong presence across Australia, offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled Credit Assurance & Verifications specialist.

As part of this team, you will support the Senior Manager and GM Credit Risk in maintaining high credit and lodgement quality while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The role involves reviewing files originated each month, identifying opportunities and weaknesses in credit policy and processes, and addressing adverse lodgement quality and performance trends.

You will work closely with the Senior Manager and Heads of Credit to define solutions, including team member training and system and process changes, to maintain both high lodgement quality and acceptable credit quality.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience in credit underwriting for Residential or Commercial Mortgages and analytical skills with a high degree of numeracy.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Reviewing a sample of files originated each month to ensure alignment with responsible lending obligations (RG 209), anti-money laundering (AML/CTF), and privacy requirements.
  • Addressing adverse lodgement quality and performance trends by recommending improvements in credit risk assessment, affordability verification, and loan suitability assessments.
  • Working with the Senior Manager and Heads of Credit to define solutions to support the maintenance of both high lodgement quality and acceptable credit quality.
