Leading Hand Courier Position

This exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated and reliable individual to fill the role of Leading Hand Courier. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of PUD Drivers, ensuring timely collection and delivery of consignments, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist and motivate PUD Drivers in achieving their daily tasks and targets
  • Check unsendable items and respond promptly to any issues that arise
  • Scan the dock after drivers have left, ensuring all consignments are accounted for
  • Consolidate palatable items and assist Team Leaders as needed
PUD Driver Duties:
  • Collect consignments from clients on time and ensure they are loaded and unloaded correctly
  • Verify consignments are packaged correctly and update status codes for tracking purposes
  • Obtain PODs and enter them into the system
Requirements:
  • Be physically fit and possess an excellent driving record
  • Have excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Be highly reliable and punctual, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience in the pick-up and delivery environment
  • Dangerous goods transportation certificates
