Meter Reader

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Meter Reader in Eastern Melbourne. As a Meter Reader, you will be responsible for walking allocated neighbourhoods to take and record utility meter readings.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and interacting with the community. You will be working independently, but also as part of a team, to ensure that meter readings are taken accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately read and record meter readings in a timely and efficient manner
- Uphold safety standards and represent the company in a professional manner
- Meet targets and deadlines
- Work independently and collaboratively with other team members
- Regularly communicate with the office support team
- Upload and download route information to/from a hand-held device
Requirements
- Current valid driver's license
- Reliable motor vehicle and mobile phone
- Ability to learn and work independently
- Able to undertake regular walking, bending, and squatting
- Able to work in most weather conditions
- Able to work Monday to Friday, 30-38 hours per week
- Flexible and comfortable with daily travel of up to 45 minutes each way
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and good attention to detail
