Job Title: HVAC Technician

As a skilled Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients and staff within our healthcare facilities.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC systems, including air handling units, chillers, boilers and refrigeration equipment. This will involve working at heights, in confined spaces and with electrical and mechanical systems.

You will also be required to diagnose and troubleshoot faults in HVAC systems, undertake routine maintenance tasks and perform repairs as necessary. In addition, you will work closely with other trade personnel and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Trade qualification in HVAC/refrigeration with knowledge and understanding of relevant Australian Standards and Codes of Practice.
  • Proven experience in the maintenance of large building complexes and facility maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Computer literacy, including use of Microsoft Office and work order systems.
