About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Event Operations Specialist to join our team in delivering a world-class event. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Sydney Royal Arts & Crafts Competition.

Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to be part of our vibrant and committed team, working closely with our Events Manager to deliver one of Australia's largest annual events. As an Event Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service, managing and addressing Exhibitor concerns promptly. You will also perform office administration tasks, including word processing, organising invitations, maintaining spreadsheets, updating presentations, and proofreading Competition materials.

In addition, you will handle data entry for awards, sales, and exhibitor records, and ensure timely notifications. You will respond to enquiries, escalating or redirecting issues as needed. You will also assist in physical tasks related to event setup and teardown, including handling exhibits, tables, and other display items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by managing and addressing Exhibitor concerns in a timely manner.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, word processing, and spreadsheet maintenance.
  • Assist in the setup and teardown of events, including handling exhibits and other display items.
  • Manage sales and transactions during the Arts Preview Evening and Show period.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in event management or administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
What We Offer
