We are seeking an experienced and passionate Aboriginal Child Protection Specialist to join our team in Southern NSW.
As a key member of our department, you will work sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children or young people, developing safety plans and completing risk assessments. You will also manage cases and situations, including working with high needs and high-risk clients and their families.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a relevant diploma or degree qualification, as well as at least two years' experience working with vulnerable children, young people and their families. You will also need to have the ability to build positive working relationships, supported by excellent verbal and written communication skills.
In addition, you will require a valid driver's licence and a paid working with children clearance number. Documented verification of Aboriginality is also essential, confirming that you are an Aboriginal person of Aboriginal descent and that you identify as being Aboriginal.
The salary for this position is estimated to be between $83,957 and $109,194 per annum, plus superannuation and annual leave loading.
