Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter

The role of Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter involves ongoing maintenance and service of heavy earth moving equipment, trucks, and buses.

  • Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing heavy earth moving equipment, trucks, and buses in accordance with company guidelines and within a specific timeframe.
  • Fault finding and diagnostic experience is required to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Working safely in accordance with OHS standards to ensure all work is carried out safely is essential.

About You:

  • A trade qualification in HD Mechanic/Fitting with a strong commitment to safety is necessary.
  • Significant post-trade experience working on heavy earth moving equipment such as Caterpillar, Hitachi, Komatsu, Liebherr, Volvo, ISUZU is required.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills in fault finding with a solution-focused attitude are needed.
  • The ability to obtain an International Driver's Licence is essential.
  • Independence and the ability to work without supervision as well as in a team environment are important.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to safety at work and in the environment is crucial.
  • Completing inductions in English, being medically fit, and passing a full pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screen are mandatory requirements.
