Volunteer Opportunities at Northern Beaches Hospital

We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate volunteers to join our hospital team. Volunteers make a significant contribution to the hospital and the Northern Beaches community.
Available Volunteer Roles- Hospital Helpers
- Assist patients with refreshments, social activities, and general assistance around the ward.
- Work closely with clinical and non-clinical staff to support patients throughout their stay.
- Hospital Greeter
- Provide valuable assistance to patients arriving for admission to hospital.
- Escort patients to the Day of Admissions Centre and assist with patient belongings.
- Emergency Department Volunteer
- Help provide information and support to patients and their families in the Emergency Department.
- Assist with patient liaison, general assistance, and other support duties.
- Special Skills Volunteers
- Offer skills such as arts and crafts, hand massage, musical talent, or sewing skills to patients.
- Consumer Consultants
- Advise the hospital on consumer input and needs.
- Make a real difference to future service provision at Northern Beaches Hospital.
- Be a bubbly and enthusiastic person who can make a difference with our patients.
- Be a great communicator who enjoys helping people.
- Have the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Have a genuine caring and empathetic outlook for patients and visitors.
