Key Job Brief

This is a key leadership position driving Payment Acceptance Centre of Excellence Pricing, Risk & Scheme Compliance strategy. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills to manage merchant risk and fraud.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute acquiring pricing strategy, manage merchant risk and fraud, and handle pricing issues and incidents.
  • Address scheme, Industry, and regulatory requirements and compliance related risk, control gaps, and be the central point of contact for Schemes and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to policy development on merchant acquiring regulatory matters and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage compliance to new and existing scheme mandates, conduct impact analysis, monitor changes for Merchant Solutions implications, and recommend course of action.
  • Identify possible breaches, investigate, assess, and manage incidents and breaches, and work with stakeholders to improve processes and strengthen controls.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in providing concise and clear advice.
  • Experience in researching and interpreting card scheme rules in plain business language.
  • Well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
  • A pragmatic and solutions-focused mindset, with a proactive, can-do approach, open to new ideas and experiences, and adaptable to change.
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks, financial services law, obligations, and familiarity with policy requirements from ASIC, BCCC, AFCA.
