Chef Job Description

Careerone Partner Network is seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Shepparton Lemon Tree Café.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement menus that meet customer expectations and drive business growth;
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, staff supervision, and quality assurance;
  • Collaborate with management and staff to ensure seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, menu planning, and food preparation techniques to maintain a competitive edge;
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment;
  • Lead and motivate kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results and provide ongoing training and development opportunities;
  • Work closely with suppliers to negotiate prices, manage inventory, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality ingredients;
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of business strategies to drive growth and profitability.

Requirements:

  • AQF Cert IV in Commercial Cookery with a Diploma in Hospitality Management or higher qualification;
  • Minimum two years of relevant Australian work experience;
  • Proficiency in the English language;
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong understanding of workplace WHS procedures and ability to maintain a safe working environment;
  • Authority to work in Australia.
