Job Title: Senior Heritage Consultant

Our organization is seeking a skilled heritage professional to play a key role in the development of heritage reports, including appraisals, assessments, and management plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare comprehensive heritage reports, incorporating expert input and research-based evidence.
  • Coordinate and direct junior team members in their work, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct thorough site inspections, gather relevant data, and compile detailed reports.
  • Provide authoritative advice on heritage matters, including audits, assessments, and analysis.
  • Lead or contribute to the preparation of conservation and heritage management plans, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Review and refine team member work to produce high-quality, polished reports.
  • Assist with project submissions and tenders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Manage projects of varying sizes and complexities, guaranteeing successful outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Honours or postgraduate degree in architecture, history, planning, heritage management, or archaeology.
  • Substantial experience as a senior consultant in the heritage consulting or architectural sector, demonstrating expertise and leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the capacity to guide and support junior team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Standard, with advanced skills in report templating and graphics.
  • In-depth knowledge of key heritage regulatory requirements, with the ability to apply this expertise in a practical context.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to articulate complex ideas and negotiate effectively.
