Catholic Education Western Australia seeks a qualified Physical Education Teacher / Sports Coordinator to join St Joseph's College, a regional Catholic school catering for students from Three-Year-Old to Year Twelve.

This is a full-time, temporary position with the opportunity to teach students in the Primary (Junior School) and coordinate College-based and inter-school sporting events. The successful applicant will also have the chance to teach in the Secondary School.

The role offers an exciting collaborative and community-based experience by the sea, with the exceptional landscape of the Great Southern as your classroom. We cover relocation costs for the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach 3YO to Year 6 Physical Education
  • Coordinate College-based and inter-school sporting events for the Junior School
  • Develop programs that cater for individual differences
  • Engage positively with colleagues, students, and parents through effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Assess student progress using various strategies
  • Participate in professional learning communities and comply with legal, administrative, and professional requirements

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent
  • Current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of WA (TRBWA)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid qualification
  • Lifesaving qualification
  • Bus licence
