About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Leisure and Wellness Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for providing care and companionship to residents, as well as delivering innovative leisure and lifestyle activities tailored to their needs, interests, and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct staff in planning and implementing activity programs, ensuring effective liaison with team members, residents, and carers.
  • Ensure all residents have access to an activity program of interest and are capable of achieving desired outcomes.
  • Confirm activity programs with the Manager, providing detailed information on residents involved, timetables, and resources organized.
  • Complete evaluations of activities, daily activity participation sheets, and other paperwork, reflecting continuous improvement.
  • Develop activities that account for previous interests and current capabilities, enhancing residents' quality of life through their hobbies and interests.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in aged/community care or lifestyle programs in aged care is ideal, but qualified individuals starting their career are also encouraged to apply.
  • Resilience and resourcefulness are essential, as well as the ability to live Uniting's values of compassion, respect, imagination, and boldness.
  • Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or equivalent qualifications or demonstrated competency in the required knowledge.
