The Breast Care Coordinator is a vital role in delivering comprehensive plans of care, leading teams, and providing guidance to nursing staff. As the primary coordinator of breast care services, you will be responsible for developing and implementing best practice patient care standards.
This role requires a high level of organisation, prioritisation skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a commitment to ongoing professional development. You will have opportunities to grow professionally and personally within a supportive environment, with mentoring, coaching, and leadership development programs available to support your career development.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining professional knowledge of breast care standards and practices, providing supportive care by addressing clients' physical, psychological, social, sexual, and spiritual needs. You will also offer evidence-based education on breast cancer treatments, self-management strategies, and support services, and improve breast care services through clinical leadership and professional activities.
