Small Animal Surgery Residency Opportunity in Melbourne

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated veterinarian to join our team as a Small Animal Surgery Intern in Melbourne.
Job Overview:
The position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced surgeons, veterinarians, and nurses in a supportive and collaborative environment.
About the Role:
- Assist senior surgeons with consultations, diagnostic procedures, surgical operations, case management, and patient discharges
- Participate in anaesthesia preparation, induction, and monitoring, as well as scrubbed assistance in surgery
- Supervise patient recovery and review treatment charts
- Contribute to daily inpatient records and comprehensive reporting on patient conditions
- Communicate with clients and referring veterinarians as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Veterinary registration in Victoria
- Excellent communication skills and strong work ethic
- Knowledge of veterinary medicine and surgery desirable
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
