Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Education and Training Professional to join our team as a TAFE Teacher in Technology (ICT) at the Ipswich Campus.

The ideal candidate will have extensive industry knowledge and experience, as well as the ability to impart their skills and knowledge to students using various delivery methods. They will also possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • To design, develop and deliver comprehensive training programs that meet the needs of students and industry partners.
  • To assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their learning and development.
  • To contribute to the development of curriculum materials and resources, including lesson plans, assessments and evaluation tools.
  • To maintain currency and competence in industry skills and knowledge, as well as stay up-to-date with best practices in vocational education and training.

Mandatory Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess one or both of the following qualifications:

  • ICT30120 Certificate III in Information Technology; and/or
  • ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology

In addition, applicants must demonstrate current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided, as well as current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided. Evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of vocational training, learning and assessment, including competency-based training and assessment, is also required. A current Queensland Driver's license is essential.
