Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Lawyer to join our team as the lead project lawyer for our energy projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing expert legal advice and support across the development, construction, and operations of our gas firming and import project.
  2. Negotiating and drafting agreements related to renewable energy and gas projects.
  3. Working closely with our General Manager Legal to provide strategic commercial legal support and advise on key legal risks.
  4. Assisting with other significant business contracts and projects undertaken by the business.
  5. Contribute as a senior member of the legal team, with ability to develop into a team leader; provide motivation, encouragement and opportunities for development.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years post admission experience in private practice or in-house in the energy sector.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating project development, construction, and operations contracts for energy projects.
  • Experience advising on gas projects, operations, FSRU or LNG shipping, or LNG or gas sales agreements.
  • Tertiary qualifications in law with a current unrestricted practising certificate in Australia.
