Food Preparation and Service Professional

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the provision of high-quality food services that meet the needs of students and staff.

The Role
  • Prepare and cook healthy meals in accordance with meal planning requirements.
  • Maintain safe food handling practices, including preparation, storage, and serving of food to students with special dietary needs.
  • Present meals in an appealing and nutritious manner, considering the age and dietary requirements of students.
  • Clean and maintain the kitchen, dining area, and associated facilities, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Assist with general cleaning of other areas as required.
Key Competencies
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • Food Handler's Certificate.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts between 8:30am and 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player with strong family communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standard.
  • Understanding of Montessori Philosophy and commitment to holistic development of their class.
