About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Kapitol Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of electrical building services engineering for commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders on electrical engineering matters.
  2. Design and Delivery: Review project designs, drawings, specifications, and delivery briefs to ensure compliance with design, authority, and building code requirements.
  3. Project Management: Oversee design packages and support construction delivery, ensuring quality control and assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
  4. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
  5. Problem-Solving: Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify technical issues for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  1. Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
  2. Experience: 6 to 10+ years' relevant industry experience in building services engineering, with prior experience on medium-to-large building services projects across a range of sectors.
  3. Skills: Strong technical experience with electrical engineering and design management, thorough understanding and practical knowledge of the NCC/BCA and relevant building services requirements.
  4. Personal Qualities: Ability to operate as an in-house subject matter expert for electrical engineering, sound construction knowledge and understanding of building/construction trades, well-versed with quality and safety requirements on construction projects.
