About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Finance Expert Lead to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our corporate and institutions banking division, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing our project finance strategy.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead the execution and maintenance of complex project finance transactions, working closely with our Sydney office team to ensure seamless deal/project management and exceptional client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the Bank's project finance strategy
  • Lead execution and maintenance of complex project finance/PPP transactions and negotiations with clients and advisors
  • Maintain networks and identify new deal opportunities, ensuring the Bank's engagement in major deals in the market
  • Management of an existing project finance/PPP portfolio and relationships
  • Obey team management and reporting regularly to the department head as well as adhering to branch policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Finance-related tertiary degree qualification
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in origination/execution of project finance transactions, with exposure to infrastructure/PPP projects being highly regarded
  • Solid credit/risk analytical skills and experience in composing credit papers and dealing with Credit Risk teams
  • Superior interpersonal and presentation skills and exceptional stakeholder management experience
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
