About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Tester to work as part of a talented and collaborative team. As a Junior Tester, you will have the opportunity to work on technical and operations systems, assisting with all tasks and functions.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to step into more senior roles when opportunities arise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough testing on new and updated code before release.
  • Work closely with developers to create test cases based on expected functionality.
  • Implement automated acceptance tests.
  • Interpret and implement quality assurance standards.
  • Execute test cases and analyze results.
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams.
  • Implement performance tests.
  • Provide testing guidance and advice to colleagues.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's or relevant qualification in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks and methodologies that support quality goals.
  • Good working knowledge of SQL.
  • Proven experience in testing complex commercial software, such as enterprise software.
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.
  • Ability to code automated tests in Java, JavaScript, etc., and skilled use of Fiddler.
  • Significant experience in automation testing.
  • Good understanding of Git, SVN, Maven, etc.
  • Familiarity with Tomcat, Nginx, and other web servers.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and a good understanding of the software testing lifecycle.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of important testing techniques and apply them in test documentation and execution.
  • Excellent user-level understanding of internet technologies, APIs, and websites.
  • Able to communicate and work closely with Developers and Product Managers.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and learn new products and skills.
  • Fluency in Mandarin is a must.
