About this role
Converge International seeks Mental Health Registered Nurses with experience in short-term, solution-oriented interventions to join its national workforce of EAP consultants.
This position involves providing in-person short-term, solution-focused counselling or coaching and managing cases within agreed timeframes and service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality counselling and crisis response support
- Collaborate with diverse workplaces to assess work-related stressors and risk factors
- Understand organisational and individual factors impacting employee performance
- Be commercially savvy and consider issues from a business, customer and personal perspective
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills and ability to demonstrate initiative
- Caring, compassionate and driven to make a positive difference
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment across multiple locations
About You
To be successful, you will have:
- Been practising as a registered nurse in mental health within the last 3 years
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1), General with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia PLUS credentialed mental health nurse
- Experience in providing counselling therapy using methodologies of CBT, ACT and motivational interviewing
- Crisis support and management of suicide risk and duty of care
- Ability to provide psychoeducation about mental health maintenance and restoration
- Working in community or hospital-based mental health programs involving one-on-one counselling support
