Civil Labourer Position Overview

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist with manual labour tasks including digging, trenching, shovelling, and lifting heavy materials
  • Operate power tools and equipment such as jackhammers, compactors, and saws
  • Perform basic measurements and calculations using measuring tapes and levels
  • Load and unload construction materials and tools from trucks
  • Clean and prepare work areas
  • Follow safety procedures and regulations at all times
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • White card and asbestos card
  • All personal protective equipment (PPE) - hard hat, steel cap, gloves, high-visibility vest, safety glasses
  • Experience working on civil construction projects preferred
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from a supervisor
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads
  • Knowledge of basic construction tools and equipment
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
