Loading Dock Coordinator Job Description

Are you a highly organized and proactive individual with experience in warehouse, loading dock, or logistics coordination? We are seeking an exceptional candidate to manage daily operations at our loading dock.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations of the loading dock, ensuring timely deliveries and dispatches. They will liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal departments to manage freight and logistics, maintain compliance with workplace safety, manual handling, and infection control procedures, and ensure proper documentation and inventory tracking for all deliveries and collections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the loading dock, ensuring timely deliveries and dispatches
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal departments to manage freight and logistics
  • Maintain compliance with workplace safety, manual handling, and infection control procedures
  • Ensure proper documentation and inventory tracking for all deliveries and collections
Requirements:
  • Experience in warehouse, loading dock, or logistics coordination (ideally in a healthcare or complex facility environment)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • A commitment to safety and compliance
  • Computer literacy and experience with inventory or delivery systems is highly desirable
