Strategic Subcontract Delivery Lead

This role requires a seasoned professional to lead the delivery of complex subcontract solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a major subcontract domain, overseeing all aspects of performance as the Control Account Manager, tracking and reporting on performance, risk, and quality against targets.
- Direct a team of 5-7 professionals, focusing on their professional development and ensuring employee welfare.
- Engage directly with suppliers, including managing directors, to resolve performance concerns and mitigate risks.
- Present and negotiate with stakeholders regarding subcontract approvals and performance issues.
- Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with all stakeholders to ensure timely and effective decision-making.
- Prior experience in defence sector procurement and contract management is highly regarded.
- A degree qualification in engineering or commercial discipline, combined with professional procurement qualifications, will be highly valued.
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) will be highly valued.
- Strong commercial skills and acumen, with proven capability in contract negotiations in Defence or related industries.
- Well-developed leadership experience, either through management of a team or leadership of complex projects.
- Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and/or external stakeholders to generate business benefit while maintaining key relationships.
As a defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances.
