Job Overview

ENGEO Limited is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead our Brisbane office in Queensland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality geotechnical projects across Australia, New Zealand, and California.

About the Role

This position requires strong technical leadership and expertise in geotechnical project types, including earthworks, foundation and retaining wall design, 2D and 3D settlement analysis, assessment of soft and compressible soils, deep excavations, and temporary works. You will also be expected to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, foster our existing relationships, and explore new market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage geotechnical projects from conception to completion
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior staff
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices

Requirements

  • BE (Civil), ME, or MEngSc degree
  • Chartered member of Engineers Australia (CPEng) and current professional registration with the Board of Professional Engineers in Queensland (RPEQ)
  • At least 10 years of geotechnical consulting experience, preferably in Brisbane and Queensland
  • Experience in design and management of complex ground investigations
  • Experience in geotechnical design, including earthworks, deep foundations, basement excavations, settlement assessments, retaining systems, and temporary works
  • Experience in data analysis and computer-aided modeling (2D and 3D) using geotechnical software
  • Excellent interpretative report writing skills
  • Extensive knowledge of current guidelines, technical standards, legislation, and codes of practice relevant to Geotechnical Engineering in Queensland and Australia
