Central Coast Council is seeking an exceptional communicator and natural collaborator to join our dynamic team as a Senior Engagement Officer. As a key member of our engagement team, you will play a vital role in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders, guiding our internal leaders on the best way to achieve community participation, and contributing to real change by building a positive engagement culture across the organisation.

About the Role
  • Manage content responses to public, resident, and stakeholder enquiries regarding community engagement projects and various Council issues across multiple engagement channels.
  • Provide high-level engagement advice to business units and oversee the implementation of community engagement projects undertaken across Council.
  • Research, develop, and implement innovative, relevant, and effective techniques to engage the Central Coast community in Council matters.
About You
  • Be degree-qualified in Communications, Public Relations, Public Participation, Social Planning, or Strategic Planning.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Enjoy sharing your knowledge and expertise, while also learning from others.
  • It is desirable if you have, or are completing, the IAP2 Certificate in Public Participation.
