Overview of the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered/Clinical Nurse to join our dynamic team in the A&E Department at Whyalla Hospital and Health Services.

About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse (Emergency Department) or Clinical Nurse (RN/M2C) to contribute to the provision of high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based nursing care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
  • To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using sound clinical judgment and expertise.
  • To maintain accurate and comprehensive records of patient care and treatment.
  • To participate in continuous quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A current registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a practicing certificate.
  • Demonstrated experience working in an emergency department or critical care setting, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive team environment.
  • An understanding of and commitment to cultural safety and sensitivity in practice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
