Position Overview

The Field Safety Specialist II is a critical member of the Safety Team, responsible for driving the implementation and oversight of company safety programs. This includes process and operational safety, OSHA programs, and ongoing regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing safety improvements, proactive processes, systems, tools, and training that optimize safe performance and ensure regulatory compliance.

Main Accountabilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive safety program that meets regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with site management to promote a safety-first culture among employees.
  • Design and deliver effective safety training programs for various levels within the organization.
  • Conduct regular safety audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Inform management of potential risks and improvement opportunities.

Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management or a related field, or at least 5 years of experience in General Industry or Construction.
  • Experience in Work Comp case management.
  • Must obtain OSHA 10 & 30 hour classes for General Industry within 6 months of employment.
  • Must obtain First Aid/CPR/AED trainer status within 1 year of employment.
  • Extensive knowledge of regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910 and/or 29 CFR 1926.
  • Familiarity with LOTO, Overhead Cranes, Aerial lifts, and PITs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
